We often keep closets full of stuff because it's still good stuff. And nothing feeds a guilty conscience more than throwing good stuff away. But, you don't have friends who you think would want your stuff, you can probably find someone on these many yahoogroup lists at Freecycle.org or you can post to Craigslist to find a loving benefactor of your stuff.

The garage sale group we casually formed is now growing with 7 folks and 3-4 side people who throw in a table or two to the lot. I mean, you have to be collecting a lot of stuff to be able to have a garagesale for 20 years to have a garagesale on your own. With a group of people it's less painful. So if you're in Alameda this Sunday and you need a kitchenette set, come to 1112 Chestnut St (cross street Encinal) from 9am to 2pm. I hear we'll have a set of golf clubs as well. Special deals for whatever is left in the last hour.
