she wouldn't be Imelda if she didn't

Imelda is suing the distributor of "Imelda" the movie to prevent distribution in the Philippines because she said she never agreed that this interview would be shown publicly and that she didn't know Dias would interview people outside of Imelda's cronies (um, people who don't agree with Imelda). If what Imelda says in the movie is true, then this lawsuit is right up her alley. She said constantly that she's all about beauty and that she has an ability to see trash and ugliness and turn her back and walk away. And according to one of the former US officials who were interviewed, "To Imelda, everything is personal."

It'll be interesting to see how that court case ends up. The interview of Imelda is no small thing in the movie. There's some serious length of footage. I mean Imelda gives the crew tours of her home and lets them follow her along the campaign trail then up to Marcos' grave in Ilokos.
