wedding registry and donations

The wedding channel website is now offering to donate 3% of anything your guests purchase from your gift registries. Donee sites include Asian Law Caucus, ACLU, UNCF, Sierra Club, Sweatshop watch, etc. It sounds nice. 3% is better than nothing, but it ain't much either. Haven't quite figured out how to resolve these gift registry purchases, many of them who use third party vendors that use sweatshops. Will have to ponder this a bit more.
