And why would Rex Navarrete lie about the Ewoks speaking Tagalog in Return of the Jedi? Actually, I thought it was rumor too until I was watching the movie and my mom walks in during the Ewok scene and says, "I know what they're saying!" They got a linguist to "create" the Ewok language which happened to be a blend of various Southeast Asian languages. Now if only we knew what the Wookies were talking about.
