A-line

Pointed, natural, dropped, raised
A-line, ball, sheath, mermaid, v-line
bandeau, bell, cap, pouf, spaghetti, fitted, straps
sweep, watteau, chapel, royal
corset, empire, midriff, princess, one shoulder, suplice
bateau, wedding band, v-neck, portrait, Queen Anne, Mandarin, scoop, cowl, illusion, Sabrina, sweetheart, jewel

This is a list of the various design elements that can be classified in a wedding dress. For instance, this dress would be long pouf sleeved, sweetheart neckline, pointed waistline, ball gown with a cathedral train.

Today I met with the dress designer. Today, I wasn't that prepared to meet with him as my mind was a bit befuddled about lace/no lace, satin or something softer. Fortunately, D did give me a book on how to choose the proper wedding dress as to what is a good style depending on one's body type. If anything, all I know is that I like small bandeau sleeves on either an off-shoulder or portrait neckline, with a pointed or natural waistline.

Fortunately, I believe we're in good hands. The designer was part of the emmy winning design team of the Bold and the Beautiful soap opera. The emmy website only lists the head person, but he has the certificate to prove it.

And so it begins, the serious making decisions for the wedding. Countdown, 38 weeks to go as the wedding planning website reminds me each time I log on. Though often people say, oh you still have plenty of time. And I either think that they're just being polite and reassuring, or that they are measuring time from Pluto. Or maybe it's cuz most people take less than a year, and more like 8-9 months to plan a wedding. Then again, I'm usually not most people.

Soon to be made decisions: dj or band. My parents want band, but the synchronisty of life and money will probably lead us to dj. And hopefully an answer to: how many friends does the fiance really have? The answer of course is that he has a LOT more friends than he often claims to have. I think this is a good thing. And I of course have way too many relatives.
