details details details
If last year was the year for me to lie low and plan plan plan, this is the year for me to make sure I cross my Ts and dot my Is. Time to set the plans into action. Time to not just see the big picture, because by nature I'm a big picture/long term kind of person, but to keep up with the little stuff: the emails, the phone calls, the follow-ups, the paperwork.
But also to notice the details of life, the small stuff, the stuff that gets overlooked. The green moss that grows between the cracks of gray concrete. Simple "thank yous" and "good mornings" and "how are you doing?" To count the pennies accumulating in my jars. To stand just a bit taller. To find joy in the worst days. To make great changes with the smallest touch.
In years past thinking about the details has seemed more daunting. But this year, I don't think it'll be so bad.
