hmmm...Girl Scout Cookies...

A friend of mine printed this comic strip, Secret Asian Man. I have a box of Tagalongs/Tagalogs on order from my Brownie Troupe Cousin.

In addition, another one regarding Harold and Kumar go to White Castle, in which actor John Cho played Harold. He's being honored at Berkeley next weekend as a distinguished Asian American Studies alumni, along with others including Abe Ignacio, co-writer of "Forgotten Book." It's not a bad plug for the undergraduates going into Asian American Studies who can now go home and justify their degrees to their parents and say "see, I can have a career and job with an Asian American Studies degree! Look at John Cho!"

The Asian American Studies Program presents:
Alumni Talk and Reception

AN EVENING WITH JOHN CHO

Actor and musician John Cho is a 1996 graduate of UC Berkeley. Cho began his acting career in stage productions at the Berkeley Repertory Theatre and L.A.'s East West Players. More recently, he has made his mark in television and film. He appeared in the American Pie trilogy and co-starred in the hit-film, Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle, Cho has helped carve out a small but ever-expanding space for Asian Americans in media and creative arts.

John Cho will talk about his career in film and music. Together with Katie Hong of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Oakland School Board member and Director of the East Bay Asian Youth Center David Kakishiba, and author Abe Ignacio, Cho will be presented with a certificate of recognition as the outstanding Asian American alumnus for 2005 by the Asian American Studies Program. This event will be emceed by Junichi Sato.
