a reminder: money/poetry dance
A reminder...
30 days away...
Inspired by the 6 Directions piece, where poems were pinned to Eileen Tabios' wedding dress during her marriage to poetry, we've decided to do the same at our wedding in early October. Though we're not marrying poetry, we believe that art is just as vital as money in our new lives together. And we'd like to invite the world to participate.
There's still time to send in poems or excerpts of other writing or song lyrics or visual poetry to michelleandrhett (at)gmail (dot) com
Please send them in by the end of September!
Pieces need not be your own, you can quote your favorite poems (please provide publishing information). Pieces don't have to be about love, but they could be about anything that contributes to a life together: love, trust, commitment, respect, joy, happiness, harmony, wisdom, wholeness, nurturing, caring, cooperation, peace.
I've been posting ones we've received at http://moneydance.blogspot.com. Let me know if you do not want your piece posted on the blog.
They will be printed on slips of paper and distributed amongst the tables so guests may pin them on us during the money/poetry dance portion of the reception.
Thanks to those who have already contributed pieces.
