After the conversation with Eileen, I've come to realize to be an artist is to find art in everything that I do and to treat everything in my life as if it were art. It is the energy that infuses life. Kali and poetry is the same practice as cultivating my relationships is the same as building our family and communities is the same as doing the chores. To train the eye to find it anywhere and everywhere. To train the body to enter the moment at will. To train the spirit to set itself free. This is the kind of artist I want to be.
