Virtual Book Tour
I read this in Poets & Writers, this group that does Virtual Book Tours. Right now they're focused on literary fiction and narrative non-fiction only, with some memoir. Which got me thinking, this should be possible with poetry books as well considering all of the writer blogs there are.
Which got me thinking again, couldn't there be an Open Mic blog? Each week have 3-4 folks post poems they want to "read" or even songs they want to "sing" for a day on a site. Currently, Openmic is being held by someone who posted once and hasn't posted since October 2002 and Openmicnight is Saul William's blog.
I'll get back to you on this. There are logistics and venues to work out.

Thanks for the link! Also, I know of some people who are already working on the ideas you expressed, perhaps you'd like to join us?
