While we enjoyed the sunny Saturday at Gregoire's and the Italien Deli, this was happening down the street. We actually were just heading to Piedmont Ave when this was just happening. By 2:15, OPD had stopped all traffic along Macarthur and Piedmont for a 3-4 block radius. When the 57 bus is changing routes you know something is up. We managed to find parking and decided to enjoy the day further up along Piedmont Ave until the police action was finished. What can I say, it's Oakland.
