Imelda coming to a screen near you

This documentary by Ramona Diaz was a highlight screening of the Asian
American Film Fest earlier this year. The movie interviews Imelda
herself as well as her friends, enemies, and just about anyone else who
interacted with the former first lady of the Philippines. It
intersperses various viewpoints that allow the audience to try to
figure out what might be the truth. Is she the narcissistic power
hungry greedy diva? Or is she the compassionate loving "mother" of the
Philippines?

Landmark Theaters will be running screenings of the movie in Berkeley,
San Francisco, Denver, San Diego, I believe starting June 11. Check
local listings. They're still working on venues in LA.
