Innobatib and sentimental

Will be performing the excerpt known as "stolen kali" from Maiana Minahal's "Before Their Words" Wednesday June 9, 7:30pm at SomARTS (934 Brannan St, SF) as part of the Kreatibo Kollective, that group of innobatib and dazzling Pin@y Queer performers. This show is one of a string of several shows going on since this is Pride Month.

I really enjoy performing with this group. Shows are always entertaining, funny, heartbreaking, and always, always challenging the audience. Plus, they put out some of the most supportive and coolest vibes.

Looking forward to Morningstar's Drag King performance of either "Goody Goody" or "Lonely Teardrops." He says, "Lonely Teardrops" is the sentimental favorite with Filipinos. At a recent nursing home performance, the women were all singing along with him, "Just say you will, just say you will, say you will."

Another group of innobatib performers will be at SomARTS this Friday and Saturday in a show called, M.U.V.E. produced by innobatib devil bunny in bondage, Gigi Otálvaro-Hormillosa. If you want to watch someone who breaks through the bounds of performance and theater, she would be one of the ones to watch. (At the Post Modern Pilipino (POMO) Performance show 2 years ago, she did a piece based on a old photo of a Filipina with a "tail" which stretched into a piece about aliens and a floating robot cloud thing. you had to be there. I was blown away.)
