You're stuck

Good thing I used to run track, cuz I got passed The Stick from Ver, who got it from Patrick.

You're stuck inside Farenheit 451. What book do you want to be?

One of those heavy duty superhuge unabridged dictionaries. I figure those things are so dense, it would take a while for the thing to burn.

Have you ever had a crush on a fictional character?

Well, it was a comic book, I had a crush on Assassin 1 otherwise known as Grail aka Joel Salvador Alonday II or Jun for short. Ok, so he wasn't called Jun. But he would have been!

oh, and if we're talking TV, I did have a crush on Capt. Jean Luc Picard.

The last book you bought is...

"Eye of the fish" by Luis Francia. And the day before ditto'd on Ver's picks.

The last book you read is...

last night before going to bed, "Kinky" by Denise Duhamel. Because I had to find out how Barbie throws a fantasy wedding.

What are you currently reading?

Actually, Ver, I am reading no wedding books, because they stress me out thinking I might actually HAVE to rent out fancy chair covers. I have yet to find a book that deals with Filipino weddings where 20% more of your invitation list attends, your mother continues to add people to an already oversized list, and your hotel won't let you bring lechon through the door. I just pray my years of organizing events and readings over the years does me some good. However, I did read "The Ultimate Guide to Bridal Gowns" to figure out the most flattering wedding dress for my body type. I did get a free copy of "Here Comes the Bride" at a bridal fair.

In REAL preparation for the wedding, I've been reading:

Organizing for Dummies - to try to figure out how to merge two households
The Energy of Money
Feng Shui and Money

Most of the books are about gaining a bit of perspective in the long term about "living happily ever after." I realize that though I'm really excited about the wedding and all that fun stuff. I'm actually way more excited about the years after. And that makes me feel like I'm wierd, that I'm not properly going ga-ga-s over arranging bouquets, lace and tulle. oh well.

In addition:
Eye of the Fish
Andalusian Dawn
the latest Entertainment magazine

Five books you would take to a deserted island?

  1. "Wilderness Survival" by Gregory J. Davenport. (I'm a very practical Capricorn that way.)
  2. "I Take Thee English" by Eileen Tabios, because a deserted island would give me enough time to actually read it cover to cover.
  3. La Maravilla
  4. Mistress of Spices (They're filming the movie version in Oakland, right now!)
  5. The Complete Works of William Shakespeare

Who are you going to pass this stick to and why?
Sister Mary Thesis cuz I know she's on vacation with plenty of time to read.
My cuzin the Evil Clown, because I want to know what a trivia champion reads.
Nick Carbo, the Carbonator, just cuz.
