giddy excited
I am giddy excited about, "The Laureate" at SPT's Poets Theater Jamboree. We just had our first read through and a discussion on costumes. And I REALLY want to tell people more about the play, but that would give away too much.
I'm also excited about Paolo Javier's, "A Play, A Play," which will be performed that night as well. From a director point of view, what I like about the play is that it allows for quite a bit of creativity and freedom from the director's view. Unlike the plays we're used to that are more narrative driven in which conversation dictates who is conversing with who and what they are doing, Paolo's play is like director freefall, with very few director cues, the play, "a play, a play" is as pure of an empty canvas, or stage as it were, as a director can get. So, I am really looking forward to how the director and cast will play this play out. Can we say giddy?
