where are they?

I get a call from my bro...

Me (reading my caller ID): Hey Randy, what's up?
Bro: Hey Michelle, where are the deep fried twinkies?
Me: what? on Fremont Street?
Bro: yeah, we're under the light canopy now
Me: (not quite remembering which casino it was) Um, I don't remember the casino name, but it was near that topless bar, Girls of Glitter Gulch.
Bro: [static mumbling] Where is it?
Me: Oh, Fitzgerald's is on one end, the deep fried twinkies are on the other. You can't miss it, they have signs for 99 cent hot dogs, deep fried twinkies, oh and deep fried oreos! You have to try one of those and blog about it! [he's young, vegetarian, he can spare a cholesterol point or two.]
Bro: what? Joe's?
Me: Fitzgerald's!
Bro: huh? what end is it on?
Me: the rainbow. The rainbow is on one end the twinkies are on the other.
Bro: oh ok, I see it now, we walked the wrong way.
Me: OK, good luck! bye!

As a follow up, Jean asked how they taste. Hot crispy outside, cool creamy center. I think I might have gotten sick if I ate one to myself, so I'm glad I shared it with a table full of people. More pleasure, less guilt. But after that, we just couldn't get ourselves to order a deep fried oreo. We'll save that for next time, besides there were 99 cent margeritas to be had.
