Mary, mary quite contrary

Found this site that explains the origins of various common nursery rhymes. Alot are in reference to the scandalous personalities of various European monarchs, or historical events, others are meant to teach kids something and a few are actually for just children's entertainment. The site takes you from the delightful to the gruesome as it explains their background. Cockle shells and silver bells aren't just cute flowers afterall.
